Toronto: Musson, (1905). Revised edition; first published by Rose in 1903. Original red patterned cloth, with a repeating flower design; spine ruled and lettered in black. Cloth worn at edges, and all-over shiny from residual glue where a plastic cover has been pasted on for many years (now removed). Bits of paper are stuck to the old glue. The rear fly leaf is stuck to the inner back cover by residual glue. Inner hinges are cracked; otherwise, sound and very good. This is the second edition of this cook book, preceded by the Rose edition of 1903. See: Elizabeth Driver: Culinary Landmarks: A Bibliography of Canadian Cookbooks, 1825-1949; page 426, Item 0130.2. There were numerous editions of this book published in various cities, right up into the 1930s. All the early printings are very scarce.
